Monday's Meal

We are exhausted. We just got back from camping this weekend. So here's a quick one. If you're camping, you can make it in a dutch oven (just make sure and use real butter). If not, I believe this is what my mother-in-law calls a Brown Betty and you can use butter or margarine.

1 can cherry (or other) pie filling
1 yellow cake mix
1/2 cup butter/margarine

If baking in the oven, grease your pan. Pour pie filling into pan or dutch oven. Sprinkle cake mix over top. Cut butter or margarine into pats and place all over cake mix.

Bake in dutch oven by setting on top of coals and covering top with coals for about an hour.

Bake in 350 degree oven, covered, until top is golden brown.

Very rich. Very yummy.
