On Wednesday nights, we have been watching a video series and doing a study by Stormie O'Martian called "The Power of a Praying Woman." The video series just came out not too long ago. Last night was the last video in the series.
I've been feeling a little blue because of how long the adoption seems to be taking. I never would have dreamed it would take over three years and, unless something drastically changes, it looks like it will. We are already over 2 and a half. I was really hoping it would happen before our paperwork had a chance to expire again. But that happens in September and even if they went pretty fast, we'd have to have a referral by July so that we could travel and be back before September. So I'm guessing that isn't going to happen either.
Last night, watching the video kind of put me in my place. She said more times than I can count that we just needed to keep praying and trusting and God would come through in a better way than we could possibly imagine. She was referring to the verse that says just that.
And every time that I thought to myself, "She's talking about someone who is dreaming of doing something that seems out of reach, not our situation," it seems like she said it again.
God knows me pretty well. He made me. He knows He has to really whack me in the head sometimes.
Okay.
Most of the time.
I guess I just have to keep praying. And keep trusting.
Maybe you could keep praying for us too. If not that we are matched soon, then that my frustration will stay where it belongs.

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Galatians 6:9
