Today begins Chick's standardized testing. We have all day today in Norman and all day Thursday in Norman. Ugh.
It's nice to have them broken up though. And it works out well since the appointment we had scheduled for Rugrat for the past 3 months falls on Wednesday morning.
She'll have another eye appointment then. He'll be checking to see if her glasses prescription needs to be updated. I've already been talking up her cooperation and the possibility of going to Orange Leaf if she's good. I would gladly take her last performance again but we'll be adding the element of her glasses prescription so I don't know how she'll do.
Then on Saturday, Chick will get her 'reward' for such a long week. Our congregation here has a Junior/Senior Banquet each April. They dress up formally and go do something special. The seniors also have Senior Brunch (which the Juniors prepare and serve) in May and a Senior Trip. They really go the extra mile for all of them.
So it will be a full week. Especially since Chick's work schedule (to make up for her missing Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) consists of two 10-hour days. She asked for Wednesday off so she could get her school done that day making up for the other two days she'd miss out on for testing.
We could probably use prayers. I'll be happy to get to Friday. And I know everyone else will too.
