Our Fourth of July

was spent being lazy. We grilled out but mostly just enjoyed the day together at home doing nothing. Hubby and I even worked on a puzzle while watching tv. It was a lovely lazy day. We didn't even get any fireworks.

Chick had to work for a short time during the day. On her way home that evening, she stopped and picked up some of the simple fireworks we all like though. So, later, in our pjs, we watched some blooming flowers, a saturn missle or two, and of course, the big sparklers.

See how light it is outside -- this was at 8:30 in the evening. Rugrat headed off to bed when we had done a few. Then, when it finally got dark enough around 9:30 or 10:00, we started seeing fireworks in the distance.

Apparently, Mustang allows fireworks on certain days of the year while Oklahoma City does not. So, we have a lot of Oklahoma City pilgrims come our way to shoot their fireworks and then head home.

The sky was certainly lit up. It didn't compare though with the lovely glow from spending a day together at home.
