On Saturday morning, Hubby and I took Rugrat to the local Lowe's Build and Grow Workshop. When Chick and Dude were small, we tried to make every Home Depot Kid's Workshop at our local store. They looked forward to them quite a bit. After putting together their kits, they always got a pin for their apron and a snack.
I wasn't sure if Lowe's did it the same way but I figured it must be similar. And, hey, they're free. So I signed her up.
I knew she wouldn't be real sure about what was going on at first but that once it was done and she knew what it was all about, she would want to go again.
She didn't really understand how or why she had to hit things with this little hammer.
But Baba showed her...
By the time we got to the wheels, she was getting into it somewhat.
And able to (mostly) ignore the power saw going off intermittently in the background.
She was also pretty cool with the end result and immediately asked if we could take it home. When I told her yes, she was ready to go... until I reminded her we had to return the hammer.
She was even more gung ho when she saw the apron (you get one on your first time) and iron-on patch she got. Before we even got to the car, she was asking if we could come back.
