So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Galatians 6:9

And More Paperwork....

Well, we've begun the tedious process of renewing everything for the adoption. Once we are done, we should be good for another 18 months. I truly cannot imagine it taking longer than that to be matched. But I hope that I will not be eating those words in 2009. Right now they are reviewing all of us November 2006's. They just finished matching through December 19, 2005. If that stays that way, we'll be good to go. But if not, if they keep going slowly as they have, I'll be having some alphabet soup.
So many of our adoption group are no longer just frustrated. They are angry. They feel misled or something. I don't really understand that. Yet.
We were told when we began that the wait was 15 to 18 months but that it could get longer. Now our agency lists the current wait as 24 months. But I am finding that a lot of them began the process when the wait was a year or less -- often less. I don't really know why their dossiers might have taken longer to put together than ours but that is the only explanation I have. We all would have gotten our information from the same place because we all have the same agency. And its printed plainly in the newsletter.
I do know and have said from the beginning that it is in God's hands. I will stick with that. We had to go through three different states for our documents. The only other couple I know of who had to deal with three states took nine months to get their documents together. Ours took three months. I admit that we have 'Nascar woman' in our home study agency. She doesn't play. She got it all going FAST even though her offices are a full 4 to 5 hour drive from us.
But I know who did more. God made us aware of it, He made us desire it, He gave us the resources, and He's going to come through in the end. That's really all I need to know. And if we do have to renew, He'll help us with that. And I'll need some crackers with my soup.

I would appreciate all your prayers for us and especially for those who are so confused and conflicted now. I feel for them most of all.
