Tan Lines

The Dude had to wear his cast a few extra days because we were traveling at the end of his official five weeks.
But, bright and early Monday morning, he didn't complain once when I pulled him out of his much missed bed to go and have it removed.

The thing is that after spending so much time out in the sun for all the summer fun we have with cousins and aunts and uncles and grandmothers, you've gotten a little browner from the sun. But the cast is about the best sunblock you can buy so he had a little tan line going on.

He also had a spot of skin that was a little irritated from being stuck in that thing but we won't talk about that.

It keeps his arm a little more stable than I had realized too because some of the muscles in his hand were sore when he moved them from inactivity. That's apparently normal though.

I'm just glad to be done with the thing. It will be quite alright with me if we never have to deal with another cast around these parts.

Tan lines, on the other hand, are welcome any time.
