Tired

What we've been up to:

Not a whole lot. The week started out somewhat busy. The Dude had standardized testing to attend. It was in Norman, which is a 40 minute drive from us. That would have been fine if we didn't have to be there by 7:40. In the middle of morning rush hour.

And I had to get up early enough to get myself and the Rugrat ready while he was. I don't think they realized how contradictory it is to tell us to make sure he has a good night's sleep and has a good breakfast but then schedule us such that we need to be up and leaving by 6:15 - 6:30 in the morning. But we made it anyhow.

Since then, however, the Rugrat has been getting up an hour to an hour and a half earlier than she normally does. It's very frustrating. I feel like I haven't slept in days.

On a normal day, she is always up at 7:30 no matter what. The Chick and I kept her up until 11:00 by accident one night and still she was up at 7:30. She was whiny and exhausted but up.

If she can get up earlier though, I'm not sure I understand why she can't sleep in a little later too. We may have to work on this some.

Hubby and Dude are going on a campout with the Scouts this weekend. They are probably looking forward to sleeping in some since she won't be there waking them.

The Chick plans to go to an event this weekend that will include walking the local 5K with the youth group girls.

Me and the Rugrat -- well, we'll probably just hang out.
