Take Me Out to the Ball Game

On Saturday, we introduced the Rugrat to the great American pastime. The local team was playing and Hubby got a deal through his work. The Rugrat is always excited about going somewhere new and she got into this as well.

One of the perks of the deal he got was a cap for each of us (as well as a voucher for a free combo meal). She liked hers quite well...

She wasn't too keen on the seat that kept folding up every time she wanted to get up but other than that she had a great time. She immediately noticed the giant "tv" at the end of the field and, when she would actually look where we pointed, she could get caught up in the mascots and other entertainment that occurs while each team warms up for their turn at bat.

She clapped along with the other people in the stands too.

She even cheered once with a "woo hoo" that cracked us all up. Don't get me wrong. She had no clue what was going on on the field or why we were there. But she could get into it all the same and seemed to be enjoying herself.

(The Dude wouldn't let me take pictures of him and Hubby just scowled at me so the Rugrat was the only one I got any of. The Chick got stuck working but she still got her cap and meal voucher.)

She only got restless a little before we left -- just over halfway through the game -- to go pick up the Chick. I put her off for a while with my hand held Yahtzee game but it was getting close to bedtime and we had to pick up her sister so we were heading out anyway. It was a fun day!
