Ice, Ice Baby!

 This was the ice storm that hit the week before Christmas. We were honestly beginning to wonder if it would ever all melt. It took 3 days before the roads were clear enough to feel comfortable going out.

Hubby's truck was still encased in ice on the day we headed for our Christmas visit in Arkansas. He couldn't have even gotten his key in the lock to open the door, never mind that the door was frozen shut.

Very strange weather this winter. But my Daddy always said that a hard, cold winter would kill the ticks and mosquitoes that would otherwise bother us in the summer. So maybe they won't be as bad if this winter is any indication so far.
