This year, they had something called $2 Tuesday which was good because that was the only day we could go. In addition, my schedule has been crazy and the fair kind of snuck up on me this year.
On the last two days before it began - hence the last two days they are available, I tried two different places to buy advance hand stamp tickets (for unlimited rides) at the discount and neither had it. I went home disgusted (and frankly okay with NOT going this year for the first time in over a decade) and decided that if we wanted to go, we'd just pay full price.
So we went.
Every ride was one $2 ride ticket which worked out quite a bit cheaper than buying 3 hand stamps in the end as long as we were judicious with them. It also allowed one or both of the boys to join us on the rides if they so chose which was nice for a change.
Of course, we had to hit the ferris wheels, Rugrat's favorite.
Even though it didn't seem like it at the end of the night, we ended up spending 7 hours there. No wonder I was so tired when we left.

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Galatians 6:9
