Losing an Arm and a Leg... Or Two

About three weeks ago, I bought a toy for Rocky at Wal-mart. It looked like this one:
It is a toy that Hartz makes. They had put a dollar off coupon in the paper and with that it made the toy $2.00. I decided to get it for him because I had been thinking that he might enjoy having a duck. Of course, it had a squeaker in the belly which he immediately found and tested multiple times.

Rocky can be pretty hard on his toys. We go through quite a few of them. He doesn't like ones that are really hard though and won't play with them. He prefers stuffed animal types or soft rubbery plastic ones. About the only exception is the occasional knotted rope or ball. But it is rare that he wants one of those.

And, without exception, they must have a good squeaker or noise maker. So you can guess how happy he was to get what we named 'Ducky.' He played with and then guarded Ducky all night long and has been loving him ever since.

Well,...

Meet quadriplegic Ducky:

First he lost his legs. That happened within two days. Last week, he became one-winged Ducky. This weekend, he became a quadriplegic Ducky.

But don't worry. He keeps his spirit up and is still very loved.

This is why his toys usually come from the 88 cent aisle.

Katie and Elijah were pretty distressed at this post, especially because they couldn't figure out why I wouldn't stop laughing.
