Going Wild

Last week, while Hubby was at work and Dude was at Scout camp, we girls... well... I guess we went just a little wild.

Okay.

We went to see the wild -- at this place:

It was the first time we got to use our new annual family pass. There were lots of places to check out and several good posing spots although we weren't always terribly cooperative.

Right after we arrived, we went to check out the playground. It was really too hot to play on right then though.


One of the exhibits they are pretty proud of is their new elephant habitat which features their new baby elephant.

I have to admit. He was pretty cute, not as cute as my own cubs though.

Of course, we chose the one day that summer decided to show its head. It was blazing hot and we didn't exactly pick the best time to be there either.

But that gave the Rugrat a chance to learn how to drink from a pop top, which she did amazingly well (pay no attention to all the pink splatters on her shirt).

We actually only saw about half in the hours we were there so we definitely look forward to going back. Maybe we can plan a little better this time though.
