A "Fort"-tuitous Discovery

On Monday, the Rugrat had a very short nap and was feeling energetic. At one point, I got overwhelmed trying to entertain her. Then I remembered seeing this post on my friend's blog and decided to show her how to build a simple fort in the living room.

Her face was classic. She couldn't begin to imagine what I was doing. But she was absolutely tickled once I stretched a blanket across the corners where the sofa and love seat meet. She laughed and giggled about it. She crawled right in then kept patting the floor beside her and telling me "Mama, sit."

She thought it was amazing. We had to rebuild it at least three times and she ended up adding more of the sofa pillows. It's definitely something we'll have to do again.


Sometimes a blanket and a few pillows is all you need, I guess.
