Take Me Out to the Ball Game...Again

You may remember that last year we got to go to the local baseball team's game when Hubby got a good deal on the tickets at work. Well, maybe it will be an annual event since they did it again this year.

This year it was on a Saturday and we all got to go after a quick stop at Grandy's for dinner (which Rugrat kept confusing with going to Granny's for dinner and we had to correct several times).

The deal includes a free combo meal and baseball hat in addition to the tickets. Chick wasted no time making use of hers.

And that seemed to be the thing that Rugrat was excited about as well.

Rugrat made sure she was keeping abreast of all the latest baseball news in the program.

We stayed about two and a half hours before we finally decided it was time to head home. Chick had brought along her Kindle to keep her entertained when she wasn't watching the game. They had a new mascot character who was quite the comedian and Dude and I were watching him quite a bit in addition to the game. Rugrat stayed busy watching the game occasionally, watching the big "tv" at the end of the field, eating some of the trail mix I brought along, and playing with the Picasso app on my Kindle. She did well and hung in there longer than I thought she might. Hubby had a better concentration for the game itself.

I think we all had a good time. It was breezy but warm and we had plenty of room. It was a perfect day to go to a baseball game.

And I'm looking forward to next year.
