On a trip to Wal-Mart, I ran across a buggy with clearanced toys for $3. Several of them were olive-skinned Barbie dolls. So I grabbed one for the Rugrat.
She was surprisingly excited about it. She's really not into dolls too much. It might have helped though that this one had a sparkly ballerina skirt and sparkly butterfly wings.
She's been enjoying it ever since. Her
first Barbie was the one that the White Swan gave us in China but I put that one up to save so I think this will count as her first Barbie since she actually gets to play with it. :)
