Even though fall is usually a time when gardens fade out, mine is still kicking albeit a little slower than before and in smaller quantities.
I actually have one luffa growing. I wasn't sure if any of those would actually grow. Look at the pretty flowers it makes too.
This is the biggest of the watermelons and it's still coming along.
Although there are still quite a few cucumbers showing up in waves, they mostly tend to look like this upside down raindrop shape.
I'm not sure why exactly and they are certainly still usable. Just not as pretty as they were. I would guess it has to do with how they grow on that part of the plant. They always seem to be 'interfered' with by something, like another heavy vine or the fence or the trellis. Doesn't make a difference though. They're all just pickles to me.
Unless they are tzasiki sauce.
