Update: Home Made Laundry Detergent

The results are in. If you recall, I made my own laundry detergent powder last month. I kept a pencil and piece of paper in the laundry room to mark the number of loads I got from the 'batch' of detergent I made. It costs me $1.93 to make. And I have now officially used the last of the powder.

The grand total of loads - 35. So now I have the info I needed to make a comparison between commercial and home made. I have yet to begin on the 'batch' of liquid detergent I made except to say that I have used it to rub directly on stains when one needed to be treated. I guess I should probably keep track of that too. But I actually really like the powder.

And, I say again, the smell of the laundry soap that you grate is WONDERFUL. I love the scent of it. I'll let you know how the liquid detergent stats turn out. Have a great weekend.
