We're settling in for a home bound weekend today. So far, it is just a little overcast and breezy. But the tropical storm is on its way. The last tropical storm we endured was several years ago. We stayed inside the entire day watching the rain fall and the trees moving in the wind. When it was over that evening, we all peeked out and slowly began to move about again.
My son was happy. School has early dismissal today which means that he will go home early but the day will still count. Unlike another county that canceled school today and will have to make it up. I guess there's always a silver lining, right? The Chick requested that school continue as usual. Don't worry, I checked her temp.
But if you happen to think of us, say a little prayer for all those who are even more directly in its path. And for us too. Cabin fever can be hard to take.

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Galatians 6:9

if that tree you really don't like doesn't go down in the storm....
drill a hole in it and put salt in it. I found this out for you in a random conversation about dead, dying, and killing trees - it is a funny/long story. Anyway lots of salt.... :)
