of everything that has attempted to completely bankrupt my family lately.
First we had our roof done (that was an ouch to the tune of $5000 but at least we had planned some for it -- solely we could have dealt with it but not with everything else that came after too)
Then the Dude broke his wrist.
Next we had the tree limb fall... on our neighbor's truck.
Then the roofer had to come back and fix the few shingles on my neighbor's as well as my roof.
Then we bought a new pool pump/motor. And promptly determined that there must be a clog so we bought a drain snake too. We finally gave up and called the pool guy who shaved off a bump on the pipe that was letting air in (within 5 minutes of being there) and was forced to charge us $50 for a service call (he was nice enough to wish he didn't have to but his boss would have been mad if he didn't).
Then we had a trip to Arkansas.
Next came the removal of the Dude's cast.
And finally the removal of the offending tree itself. They'll also be coming back in a few weeks to remove a tree in the front who's attempting to eat our foundation with its roots.
But here's the list we haven't yet dealt with:
*We still are removing the vestiges of our tadpole farm from the pool = lots o' chemicals.
*The garbage disposal needs replacing.
*Our outside outlets need an electrician because they still want to throw the fuse every time you plug in something.
*We really need a new washing machine. As of like a year or two ago.
Home ownership is such a joy!
(It really is. Pay no attention to me. I'm just being a grouch today.)
