Red Couch

One of the last things each group does is take the famous red couch photo. All the babies that were adopted this trip are lined up on the red couch and a photo is snapped. Usually the best one is the fastest one because they immediately decide they are not down with that and start crying. As clingy as Emily is, I figured she'd be crying as soon as we stepped away but she was one of the few that actually sat and smiled.

We also got this one of us as a family although the lady who operated our camera wasn't very good with the zoom and didn't actually get any red couch but that's okay.

Finally we took one in front of the waterfall inside the hotel as a group. This is group CCAI group 1680 adopting from Henan Province.

As with many of the babies, Emily got her own new Chinese outfit to wear (which she screamed bloody murder when putting it on -- still not sure why, maybe she thought we were putting her to bed). Isn't she pretty in jade?
