Dude stretched himself this year and joined in on two events he had not considered before -- Drama and Chorus. He decided to give the Drama a try on his own.
But Chorus was more of a result of constant begging from an organizer and obvious need of his voice in the group.
As a result though, he only got one practice with them -- the last one. Fortunately, he knew all the songs and fit well into the group.
I was kind of surprised by how many parents commented on his deep voice. I knew it was deep but I guess I had not realized just how deep until other people commented on it. One dad even told him how much he would love to have a deep voice like Dude's.
It's funny how you get so caught up in your own world sometimes that you don't notice things like that.
Adding Chorus put him at 5 events this year. And gave us the latest departure time we've ever had. Which also meant we didn't make it home until around 10:00.
We gave ourselves permission to skip Sunday School on Easter morning since we were all exhausted and just enjoyed worship the next day.
