Easter Sunday

The Easter bunny made it to our house on Sunday. The children were all happy to check out what awaited them.

Then, of course, it was time to get ready for worship. I usually try to follow my mother's tradition of getting a new dress (or church clothes) for Easter. We had so much going on this past couple of weeks that I never did get to take Chick to get a new dress (as I had suggested to her) so I guess we'll do that this week or next now that LTC is done and things are getting a little more together.

If I hadn't found Rugrat's dress this summer and gotten it, she would have been wearing the same one as last year too.

And here we all are before heading to worship.

This is consequently the same picture we'll be sending to put in a book for one of the agency reps who was with us when we received Emily. She has been doing her job for a long time and lots of families have come together under her guidance -- some people have even seen her two or three times. One of those is about to see her for the fourth time and plans to carry a photo book to her to commemorate all the families she's helped. She asked that everyone send in a family picture with the child's Chinese name, province, etc. So I'm excited about that.

After worship, we came home to a ham roasting in the oven (something I almost never do) and had a lovely relaxed lunch. After more relaxing all afternoon, we headed back to the church building for a shortened service and the LTC awards. It was a good day!
