My, Hubby's, and Rugrat's yesterday evening was spent on the UCO campus. A local radio station does a promotion (apparently annually although we didn't realize that) where they give away a bunch of prizes. At the top of the heap is a four-year scholarship to UCO. And it just so happens that is where Chick is currently planning to go.
The odds are actually pretty good for participants. You have to register online. Then you receive a 'ticket' by email. You must arrive on the day at the campus and register there and then you must be present to win. They draw numbers and if your number comes up, you get a chance to choose a key and unlock the "vault." From there, you pick an envelope -- each of which contains a prize.
So as the people who actually bother to show up (we guessed around 200) get removed from the pile as their numbers are called and they get a bad key, your chances go up pretty quickly. Unfortunately, they didn't go up enough for us. We didn't even get a chance to get a bad key.
Oh, well. I guess God has another plan in mind. We must not need that one. It was fun to go though. And I got to see the campus as well.
But it sure would have been nice to have that whole tuition thing out of the way.
