You may remember that I made a goal to sew several stockings for our Caring and Sharing event in December. Shortly after that, Hubby convinced me that my goal was a little high for what would be needed so I made it a much more doable (taking some pressure off of myself) and appropriate 40 total.
It turned out to be a good thing I did since I did not take into account the madness that accompanies the last few months of school. Between testing, finishing the curriculum, getting decisions made and paperwork filled out for Chick, getting ready for camps, multiple youth events and trips, the only thing I got done on them was cutting out several pieces.
But last night, while Hubby alternately fussed and clapped at the NBA finals, I worked on these. I completed the ones I had all the pieces for.
When I finished that, I reorganized my sewing supplies (or at least fabric remnants) and found that I had lining for a few more. I spent the last part of the game sitting on the floor cutting out more pieces.
I will still have to buy some matching lining material for a few. But I am pretty happy that so far all but two of them have come out my fabric stash. The two that I purchased fabric for -- I happened to see a remnant that was marked down and very distinctly boyish. Most of my fabric is generic or girly.
So for the record since I asked you to be my accountability partner:
Goal: 40
Completed: 7
Remaining: 33
Partially complete: 14
I'm feeling pretty good about my progress. And with a few more games on the horizon, I may be even better off by the time a champion is crowned. Good thing I'm not a big sports person.

I have finally finished organizing all those recipes. You will now find tabs at the top (look up) leading to individual recipe categories. ...
